Altstadt

Heidelberg Altstadt is one of Germany’s most picturesque old towns, known for its baroque architecture, cobblestone streets, and lively atmosphere. Stretching along the Neckar River beneath the iconic castle ruins, it invites visitors to wander through historic squares, discover charming cafés, and explore small boutiques and traditional shops. Blending history with everyday life, the Altstadt captures the timeless character of Heidelberg and makes it a perfect place to experience the city’s romantic and cultural spirit.

Heidelberg Castle Tour

After exploring the castle grounds and admiring the gardens, we decided to take an interior tour to learn more about its history and purpose. It was a fascinating experience that brought the past to life, offering deeper insight into the castle’s significance. A highlight of the visit was even getting the chance to taste wine straight from the castle cellar—an unforgettable touch that made the experience even more special.

Heidelberg Bridge

The Heidelberg Bridge, officially known as the Old Bridge, is one of the city’s most iconic landmarks, connecting the Altstadt with the other side of the Neckar River.
