At X-Factored Youth, we take pride in discovering and creating opportunities for young South Africans who may feel uncertain about their future. Our mission is to open doors, spark hope, and showcase what’s possible — even when circumstances at home feel limiting. We believe that every young person deserves a chance to dream bigger and step into global spaces where their potential can shine.
In this feature, we turn the spotlight to Rust, Germany, home to Europa-Park, a world-renowned, family-owned lifestyle and entertainment resort. Here, we explore what it’s like to be an apprentice in the heart of Europe’s hospitality, leisure, and gastronomy industry.
If you’re a young South African eager to work, study, and gain international experience in one of the most exciting and dynamic sectors in the world — this story is for you.
As an apprentice (Azubi), you will find yourself working across multiple departments in different hotels and restaurants that are under the Europa Park imprint under the following apprenticeships:
- Hotel Management Assistance
- Cook / Chef
- Restaurant Service
- Dialogue Marketing
The hotels that you could be doing your apprenticeships include but not limited to:
- Bell Rock
- Colosseo
- El Andaluz
- Castillo Alcazar
- Santa Isabel
- Krønasår
For those young South Africans who are passionate about leisure, hospitality and gastronomy, Europa Park is the best fit to get you to understand the standards that Europe has and how to adapt and monetize from those standards.
